Disclosure Policy

As I don’t live in the USA and am therefore not bound by the FTC’s laws about endorsements and testimonials, I’m not under any legal obligation to even HAVE a disclosure policy. However, I believe that it’s only fair to my readers to be upfront about any commercial interest I may have in products, services or other stuff that appears on this site. So, here goes:

I am an Amazon affiliate. This means that I receive a percentage of the purchase price of anything you buy through an Amazon link on this site, including purchases you make whilst on Amazon that were not directly linked to. I also may receive payment from advertisements from other sources placed on this site. (Well, honestly, why else would they be there?)

From time to time, I may publish product reviews. Be assured that if I received free stuff to review, I will say so in my review. I will not accept payment or free stuff if the terms preclude me from being honest about the product – if I say nice things about a product, it’s because I really like it.

Whilst I do all that I can to ensure that offensive or misleading ads do not appear on my blog, I have limited control over exactly what is displayed. The placement of an advertisement on this website does not mean that products or services featured are endorsed by me in any way. Unless of course, I directly say otherwise.

And just so you know: There are also external (non-advertising) links on this blog, however material on the sites they link to may not represent the views or opinions expressed by me. I have no control over the content on external sites and if you choose to click on these links, you do so at your own risk.

 

Comments

Genuine comments are always welcome – I love to hear from readers. However, if you’re simply commenting to sneak in a link to your business site, don’t bother. I am able to distinguish between genuine comments and thinly disguised spam.

Apart from spam, comments will not be posted if they are offensive or abusive. I’m happy to hear differences of opinion and I don’t mind a lively discussion, but I won’t tolerate nastiness. As my mother would say: Keep yourself nice!
